Join the Agropur St. John’s team as a General Labourer . We offer a starting wage of $22.90 per hour, as well as evening and night premiums and the opportunity to contribute to a home-grown cooperative!
What’s involved in this role:
- Assigned on an “as neededâ€� basis primarily to merchandising duties, however, may also be utilized in any of the other departments within the St. John’s operation, ie Fluid Milk Plant, Shipping & Receiving and Distribution.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workplace by following Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Work in a safe responsible manner, respecting workplace safety policies and procedures.
What you need to join our team :
- Minimum Grade 12 High School Diploma;
- Working knowledge of WHMIS, HACCP and GMPs;
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Experience operating a forklift is an asset
- Available to work a variety of shifts which may include weekends, evenings and holidays

RegularAgropur is a leading manufacturer of ice cream, novelties and mochi in Canada. We are accepting applications for our production facility located at 85 Blakeney Drive, Truro, Nova Scotia.
What the Ice Cream Packer role is about:
- Duties include all areas of production or warehouse as required.
- Ability to follow precise procedures, possess excellent hand and eye coordination.
- Effectively communicate and work well with others.
- The schedules will vary week by week. Must be available to work up to 40 hours a week including night shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- Starting pay is $19.86 per hour.
What you need to be an Ice Cream Packer:
- Grade 12 or equivalent education.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (23 kg) and work in a fast-pace environment.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Previous experience in a food processing plant or warehouse environment will be considered an asset.
